About Mixtape

Mixtape is a simple way to create and share digital mixed tapes with people you care about. You pick the tracks, add your message, and send a link.

Tapes are built from YouTube. Each track plays through YouTube's official embedded player. Nothing is downloaded or hosted here. When someone listens, the content streams directly from YouTube. Some mixtapes published earlier may include Bandcamp-embedded tracks, which continue to play through Bandcamp's embedded player.

Mixtapes are track-based by design. Each slot holds one track, just like the mixed tapes people used to make back in the day.

How creators are supported

Mixtape embeds YouTube's official player. We do not host audio or video files. Playback and monetization are handled directly by YouTube according to its own policies, which offer ways for creators to earn revenue.
